Microsoft announced Project Natal, a complex system of sensors that forsakes the controller for cameras and microphones that process the motions, facial expressions, and voice of the user. While this sort of technology may seem unbelievable, it has old roots dating back to arcade games that registered movement of players to the modern Wii console that relies strongly on the user gesturing with the controller. Bogost's article is broken down into two sections.
